WHITE, Paul Owen


Paul Owen White If the world had more people of the character of Paul, it would be a better place to live. He was born in St. Paul, Minnesota on September 5, 1925. He passed away peacefully in Tucson, Arizona on September 2, 2009 surrounded by his family. A beloved husband, father, grandfather and friend, Paul was affectionately known as "Buddy" to his family and friends. He is survived by his beloved wife of 51 years, Audrey; his five children, Roger, Jennifer (Arthur Bassett), Cathleen (Tim Ward), Mary (Patrick Soden), and James; his granddaughter, Emily Bassett; his brother, Lawrence and many wonderful friends and family. He served in the U.S. Navy in WWII. He worked for many years as an auto mechanic, service station owner, and construction worker. He retired in 1987 but continued to help others in many ways. He is preceded in death by his parents, Fred and Jennie; sisters, Ethel (Rieschl) and Jeanette (Rudolph) and his brothers, Howard, Clifford, Donald and Roy. Buddy will be greatly missed by his family and the many friends he has made during his lifetime. A Memorial Service will be held at Saint Francis de Sales, 1375 S. Camino Seco, on Saturday, September 19, 2009 at 10:00 a.m. A light reception to follow the service. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made in his name to your favorite charities that feed and clothe the poor. A private interment will occur at a later date at Our Lady of the Desert Cemetery.
