Russell L. Wangler, 76 of Show Low, died at home June 8, 2006. 
      
He was born in Belle Rive, Ill. Sept. 28, 1929, the 14th of 14 children born to Frank and Nora Wangler. Russell enjoyed a long and happy life filled with many hobbies, which included being a pilot, a horse trainer, and a horse show judge.
      
Russell is survived by his wife, Mary Wangler; their daughter, Marsha Craig (husband Douglas); one grandson, Michael Kasdan; one great-grandchild, James Robert; five of his siblings; and many nieces and nephews.
      
There are no services scheduled.
