Billy J. Bedwell went to join his soul mate June 2, 2006. 
   
He was born in Clarksville, Tenn. March 11, 1927. The longtime respected homebuilder relocated to Tucson in 1959 with Beauty Built Homes, Inc. Prior to his retirement in 1980, he expanded the company into one of the nations first regional home building firms. After retirement, he and his wife, Beverly, moved to Alpine until Beverly's death in 1997. He then returned to Clarksdale for the remainder of his life.
      
He is survived by his children, Betsy (Eddie) Bumpus, Kevin Bedwell, and Cathy Bedwell of Clarksville, Tenn., David (Sharon) Rorbach, and William T. Bedwell of Phoenix, Dan (Cathy) Rorbach, Diane Kusel, and Douglas Rorbach of Tucson; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
      
A memorial service was held in Clarksville Friday, June 9. A celebration of his life will be held in Arizona at a later date.
