John Alden Wiltbank, "Big John," as he was known to most, died in Gilbert, June 24, 2006.
He was born Sept. 15, 1947 in Eagar where he was raised and attended school. Big John was a gentle giant of a man. He loved the White Mountains and he enjoyed hunting and fishing He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and during his lifetime served in many capacities. He faithfully served a mission for the church in the Indianapolis/Ohio Mission. For most of his life John fought a long hard battle with rheumatoid arthritis.
Survivors who loved him and will miss him dearly are his wife of 36 years, Debbie Anway Wiltbank; his mother Elda Burk, Eagar; children, Jonna (Daryl) Wilhelm, Queen Creek; Becky (Shane) Randall, Gilbert; Tyson (April) Wiltbank, Queen Creek; and Michael Wiltbank, Provo, Utah; two brothers Charles and Bill Wiltbank. He was loved dearly by 17 grandchildren.
Funeral services for John will be Friday, June 30 at 10 a.m. at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Eagar Stake Center.
