Today's News-Herald, Lake Havasu City, Arizona Published Sunday, May 10, 2009 Geraldine (Gerry) Langworthy passed away May 3, 2009, in Lake Havasu City. She was born on April 12, 1923 in Randolph, N.Y., to Clifford and Muriel Helms. She was married to Wayne Langworthy in Jamestown, N.Y., on January 27, 1941. Gerry loved dogs, especially Koko, and loved caring for others. She also enjoyed spending time with her family. She worked for First National Bank in Jamestown, N.Y., and spent most of her working career as a personal care assistant at Heritage Village in Gerry, N.Y. After retirement, she volunteered at the Senior Center in Lake Havasu City. She will be missed by everyone who felt her caring, loving touch. She is survived by her husband of 68 years Wayne Langworthy; son, Larry Langworthy, Surprise, daughter Linda Langworthy, Lake Havasu City; daughter, Carol Miller, Chino Valley; granddaughters, Debbie Voyles, Hillsboro, Ore., and Denise Langworthy, Surprise; and three great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents Clifford and Muriel Helms and her brothers Robert, Roger, and Vincent Helms. A private interment at the convenience of the family will be held.
