Joanne Criger, 62, passed away Thursday in Las Vegas. She died with family surrounding her in a hospice care facility. She was born in Fargo, N.D., to Bud and Marjorie Carlson. Joanne was in property management in California and Nevada before she moved to Lake Havasu City. She obtained a real estate license and worked locally. She also obtained a cosmetology license and practiced in Lake Havasu City where she opened up Joanne’s Tropical Salon. Later, she moved to Prescott and worked as a nail technician and also a paramedic assistant. Lake Havasu City has been her home for the past many years.
Those that knew her know that she loved to dance and have a good time. She loved her children and grandchildren and was so very proud of her granddaughter Sarah who will be graduating with a master’s degree next month.
Joanne is survived by her beloved partner, Claude Clayton, of Lake Havasu City; two sons, Stephen, of Alaska, and Eric, of Arizona; daughter, Stacy, of Alaska; seven grandchildren; three sisters, Nancy, of North Dakota, Vicky, of Minnesota, and Marilyn, of Michigan.
