Today's News-Herald, Lake Havasu City, Arizona Published Friday, April 24, 2009 C.B. Rowe passed away April 19, 2009, in Lake Havasu City. He was born June 27, 1928, in Elmhurst, Ill., to Viola (Jett) and Harold Rowe. He has resided in Haines, Alaska, as well as Lake Havasu City, for more than 20 years. C.B. was married to Charlotte (Chamberlain) Rowe April 24, 1999, at St. John Luther Church in Sayre, Pa. He was also in the Marine Corps for 24 years. He was an active member of the Lake Havasu City Senior Center, the VFW for Marine Corps and Our Savior Lutheran Church. He loved fishing for halibut in Hoonah, Alaska, and spending time at the boat harbor. He had many fishing buddies. He attended Port Chilkoot Bible Church in Haines, Alaska. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends, watching NASCAR racing and spending time at the senior center. He is survived by his wife, Charlotte Rowe; three sons, Harold Rowe, of Morris Town, Calif., John (Alice) Rowe, of Simi Valley, Calif., and Mickey (Teresa) Rowe, of Lompoc, Calif.; two daughters, Barbara Balcome, of Chandler, and Sharon (Joe) Kahn, of Wickenburg; three stepchildren Donald (Nancy) Chamberlain, of Horsehead, N.Y., Cathy (Rick) Atkinson, of West Valley, N.Y., and Brenda (Andre) Osseweijer, of Round Rock, Texas; two brothers, Bill Rowe, of Knox, Ind., and Don (Kathy) Rowe, of Plymouth, Ind.; sister Gloria Specks, of Hebron, Ind.; and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and loved ones. He is preceded in death by his former wife, Bertha Rowe; parents Viola and Harold Rowe; daughter Karen; son Michael; brother Howard; and sisters Barbara and Laura. A memorial service officiated by Pastor Timothy Hartwig will be at Our Savior Lutheran Church Friday, at 11 a.m., with a visitation from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. Burial will take place at Lake Havasu Memorial Gardens at noon. In lieu of flowers, the family would like donations to go to the Western Arizona Humane Society or Hospice of Havasu. Arrangements were entrusted to Lake Havasu Mortuary & Crematory.
