WARD, Ronald Keith


Today's News-Herald, Lake Havasu City, Arizona Published Monday, April 13, 2009 Ronald Keith Ward, 80, passed away April 1, in Lake Havasu City. He was born to Daniel and Mary (Autry) Ward on July 15, 1928, in Brea, Calif. Ronald served in the U.S. Navy. He was one of Lake Havasu City’s original pioneers, moving here 41 years ago from Corona, Calif. As a self-employed contractor, Ronald helped build this town from the ground up. He was a member of the Elks Lodge and an avid golfer. Ronald leaves behind his beloved family, sons, Brit Ward and Brad Ward, both of Lake Havasu; three stepchildren, Julie, Pat and Matt; and three grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and three brothers, Wayne, Dan and Tommy Ward; and two stepchildren, Terry and Laura. A memorial service will be held on Friday, at 4 p.m., at Rotary Park in the grass bowl. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of choice.
