VAN AUKEN, Vera

Today's News-Herald, Lake Havasu City, Arizona Published Monday, April 13, 2009 Vera Van Auken, passed away April 1, 2009, at her daughters home in Lake Havasu. Vera was born and raised in Belfast, Northern Ireland, to Henry and Victoria Hogg, Dec 23, 1924. Vera and her family moved to Ontario, Canada in 1949. The family came to Southern California in 1956. She retired from aircraft work in 1979, then they moved to Lake Havasu City, where she found her passion — being a swap meet vendor. She met many wonderful people. Vera was preceded in death by her loving husband, Van. She is survived by three daughters, Valerie Anderson, Mavis Davis, and Vicky Randall, all of Lake Havasu City; nine grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. As per her request, a family service was held where she was placed with her loving husband Van through eternity. Anyone wishing to donate in Vera's memory please do so to Hospice of Havasu.
