Born in Long Island, N.Y., of Italian immigrant parents, Rudy T. Drago was the youngest of four children. Rudy was a resident of Granada Hills, Calif., for 25 years and enjoyed retirement in Lake Havasu City. He was married to Ann Drago for 54 years.
Rudy moved to Burbank at the age of 14 from New York. He attended Burbank High School where he met his wife. He was a carpet installer for 40 years. Rudy was an avid motorcycle racer in his younger days. He enjoyed boating, waterskiing, and his at least yearly trips to “the river.”
Rudy was a founding member of “The Drifters of Burbank” in the 1950s, and a member of the “Road Kings of Burbank,” where he would enter and show his 1932 three-window Red Ford Coupe and his 1947 Ford convertible, which he would tinker on at every opportunity. He won trophies for some of the shows he entered.
Rudy retired and moved to Lake Havasu City, where he lived for nine years.
Rudy is survived by his wife Ann; daughter, Denise (Peter) Seth-Hunter; sons, Richard Drago, and Robert (Gina) Drago; grandsons, Gregory (Alicia) Seth-Hunter, Michael (Danielle) Seth-Hunter, Rudy Drago, Joseph Drago; and great-grandchildren, Thomas Seth-Hunter and Ryan Seth-Hunter.
