MAYFIELD, Gilbert (Ray)

Gilbert “Ray” Mayfield, 80, passed away March 18, 2009 at Sunrise Hospital in Las Vegas, with his family at his side. Ray was born July 10, 1928, in St. Louis, Mo., to Carl and Louise Mayfield. Ray moved to Lake Havasu City in 2001 after living in Glendale for 31 years.
 
Ray is survived by his wife, Genon, of 44 years. They met and married in White Hall, Ill. Also surviving is their daughter, Jene Gretchen Louise Mayfield, of Wasilla, Ala.; son and daughter-in-law, Gilbert Wray Mayfield and Cyndi, of Henderson, Nev.; and several cousins in Clinton, Ky.

Ray served two years in the U.S. Army.

At Ray’s request, no services are planned.
