Nance Jane Keyes, 79, of Tucson, formerly of Lake Havasu City, passed away March 29, 2009. She was born in Philadelphia, Pa., daughter of the late Howard O. and Mildred (Terrill) Jurgkurth.
Nance and her late husband, Merritt H. Keyes, who passed away in 1994, moved to Arizona 35 years ago. She has resided in Tucson, close to her family for the past two years. Nance loved her family. Earlier she spent much of her time working for different social causes that meant so much to her in addition to raising her family. She had a great interest in current events and politics and was well read. Nance and her husband traveled the world over. Her family will remember her cooking talents. She will be greatly missed.
Nance leaves her sons, Jim (Lorezna) Keyes, of Tucson, Stephen (Mindy) Keyes of Los Angeles, Calif., and John Keyes, of Las Vegas. She was the proud grandmother of Todd Keyes, Andrea Keyes and Veronica Caratola and great-grandson, Jayden.
A Service will be at 11 a.m., Wednesday, at Evergreen Mortuary, N. Oracle & W. Miracle Mile, Tucson. Friends may call Wednesday at 10 a.m., until the time of the service. Interment will follow in Holy Hope Cemetery.
