Today's News-Herald, Lake Havasu City, Arizona Published Friday, April 10, 2009 Our beloved Angela "Julie" Mitchell peacefully passed away and joined the angels in heaven Wednesday, March 18, 2009, surrounded by her loving family. Angela was the oldest of five children born Jan. 30, 1929, in London, England, to Joseph and Winifred Fusco. At the age of 15, Angela fell madly in love with Leslie Mitchell. They quickly married and followed her parents to Johannesburg, South Africa. By the age of 34, Angela had four children. She was very ambitious and owned and operated two hair salons in Durban, South Africa. June 6, 1969, Angela moved with her family to America and settled in Southern California June 6, 1969. In 1984, Lake Havasu City and the London Bridge beckoned Angela and Leslie. They opened up Coat of Arms International in the English Village, as well as Family Crest Research Center in Lahaina, Maui, Hawaii and Las Vegas. Upon retiring, Angela and Les returned to Lake Havasu City. Known to her grandchildren, great-grandchildren and their many friends and family as "Ouma" she was truly an amazing, beautiful and loving person. She created a unique and special bond with every person in her life. She will always be our shining star. She is survived by her son, Stephen (Fumiyo) Mitchell, of Las Vegas; daughters, Suzanne (Richard) Anthony, of Henderson, Nev., Angela (Gary) Bova, of Simi Valley, Calif., and Janine Oliver, of Lake Havasu City; grandchildren, Alanna (Andrew) Ganas Joe Bova, Christian Anthony, Tony Bova, Keith Anthony, Nicole Mitchell, Brian Mitchell, Gina Bova, Julie Oliver, Ashlie Oliver and Michael Bova; great-grandchildren, Athena and Anthony Ganas She is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Leslie Mitchell. Services will be held at Lietz-Fraze Funeral Home Saturday, at 2 p.m. Thoughts and condolences may be submitted to the family at www.lietz-frazefuneralhome.com.
