LEE, Ivan Van


The White Mountain Independent, Show Low, Arizona ~ 11/24/2006 Ivan Lee, 40, of Cibecue, died Nov. 17, 2006. Ivan was born Dec. 25, 1965 in Cibecue to the late Van Lee and Agnes B. (Cosen) Lee. He worked as a squad boss on a swift crew for the BIA Forestry Department. In his younger years Ivan was a logger and also drove tractor, planting corn. He was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed hunting and fishing. Ivan also was a talented roper at rodeos and liked to play horseshoes. Ivan is survived by his companion, Cindy Altaha; nine sons, Ike, Ira, Art, Cornelle, Isaac, Nehemiah, Damian, all of Cibecue, Cy of Canyon Day, and Cyrus Truax of Whiteriver; three daughters, Ivana and Danetra of Cibecue and Heather Truax of Whiteriver; his mother Agnes Lee of Cibecue; two brothers, Jerry Lee (Corrina) of Cibecue and Bronson Lee, Sr. (Jerilyn) of McNary; three sisters, Brenda Gushoney (Wilbert) of Whiteriver, Saraphina Lee of Cibecue, Rebecca Cosay (Theron) of Cibecue; foster parents, Dick and Judy Stoltzing of Sacramento, Calif.; four grandchildren; Francis Lee, Marion Lee, Shondell Lee and Raheem Lee. A wake will begin at 10 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 23 at the Lee home in Cibecue. A funeral service will take place Saturday, Nov. 25 at 1 p.m. at the Cibecue Miracle Church. Interment will be in the Open Range Cemetery in Cibecue. Owens Mortuary of Show Low handled the arrangements.
