Today's News-Herald, Lake Havasu City, Arizona Published Tuesday, March 17, 2009 Patricia "Patte" B. Marvin passed away Saturday, March 14, 2009 in Lake Havasu City. She was born May 20, 1930, to Charles and Evelyn Butler. Patte was married to Lewis Marvin July 20, 1986, in Reno, Nev. After serving in the Korean War, Patte continued her nursing career and went on to teach nursing at the University in Sacramento. She was an active member and officer in the VFW. After retirement, she and her husband traveled and eventually ended up in Lake Havasu City. She enjoyed fishing, and bowling on numerous leagues, making many friends. She supported Animal Rights and the animal shelter, where she adopted her loveable cat. She is survived by her daughter, Linda (Bob) Davis; son, Lewis (Arleigh) Marvin; sister, Edythe (Ron) Hirasawa; four granddaughters; three great-granddaughters; and one great-grandson; and three nephews. She is preceded in death by her loving husband, Lewis Marvin; her parents, Charles and Evelyn Butler; and her aunt, Eileen Lind. Patte will be missed and in our thoughts by all who knew this very loving and caring lady. Donations can be made in her name to the Alzheimer's Association.
