DROBOT, Carolyn Woods, age 89, quietly entered the Kingdom of Our Lord on April 3, 2007, after a long illness and decline caused by congestive heart failure.
Her friends, church and community knew her as a loving wife, mother, homemaker and caretaker, with an attentive interest in the world and the people around her. Carolyn contributed to the activities of St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church, PCUSA, Tucson, her lifelong denominational affiliation. Carolyn was a Bachelor of Arts graduate of Willamette University, and received graduate training at Radcliffe University after World War II service as an American Red Cross Field Representative in Europe and Japan. She maintained a lifelong interest in journalism and publishing.
Devoted survivors are her husband, Walter; daughters, Jane Drobot of Mill Valley, CA and Ruth Moore of Tucson, and son, Frank Drobot and Sheila Frame-Drobot of Roanoke, VA, as well as Larry Rosenbloom, Mill Valley. Also surviving are grandchildren, Lucy and Oliver Rosenbloom, Mill Valley.
A memorial service will be held Thursday, April 12, 2007 at 300 p.m. in the northeast chapel, St Andrew's Presbyterian Church, 7650 N. Paseo Del Norte, Tucson. Donations in Carolyn's memory are requested for the Gospel Rescue Mission, Tucson.
