STROBEL, Ronald Victor


Arizona Daily Star, September 30, 2007 Ronald Victor Strobel, 79, passed away peacefully on August 6, 2007, after his three plus year battle with cancer. He was recently widowed in May of this year by his wife of 56 years, Esther. Ron is survived by his children, Linda Strobel of Dallas and Jeff and his wife Gail of Denver, and his wife's cousin, Mary Krause. Born in the Cleveland, Ohio area, Ron lived there until moving to Tucson in 1995. After graduating from Euclid Shore High School, he served with the 82nd Airborne for 18 months. Following his military duty Ron attended college at both Miami University and Western Reserve. He left school in his senior year to help at home with his Dad's ailing health. Ron married Esther May White on March 17, 1951. Ron spent most of his working years with his business partner of 40 years, Ron Nulick, currently a Chagin Falls, Ohio resident. They were manufactures representatives working in the Ohio and Pennsylvania markets. He served in several positions with the Cleveland Housewares Association. He and Esther were active members of Boulevard Presbyterian Church in Euclid during their time there, and Ron served on the Tanglewood homeowners association. Ron was an avid golfer. He was a member of both Tanglewood Country Club in Chagrin Falls, Ohio and El Conquistador Country Club in Tucson. While in Tucson, Ron volunteered at area hospitals and served in various capacities with the home owners association of Carmel Pointe in Tucson. Ron's funeral was held on August 10, 2007 and his ashes were laid to rest September 8, 2007 at St. Andrews Presbyterian Church, 7650 N. Paseo del Norte, Tucson.
