CRAWFORD, William Henry (Pappy), III

The White Mountain Independent, Show Low, Arizona ~ 06/30/2006 William Henry Crawford, III, 64, of Show Low, ("Pappy" to those who knew him) died June 14, 2006. Mr. Crawford, a truck driver for Hatch Construction, was born July 12, 1941 in Latrobe, Pa. Pappy grew up in Dairy, Pa where he attended school. Following school he enlisted in the Marine Corps and served for six years. Following his military service he began driving a truck and continued in that endeavor until his retirement in the beginning of 2006. Pappy is survived by his wife, Leona Crawford of Show Low; son, William Charles Crawford of Latrobe, Pa.; daughter Marie Ann Dressen of California; sister Betty Jane of Dairy, Pa.; brother James Crawford of Latrobe, Pa.; four grandchildren; three step-children, John Finley, Jr. of Augusta, Ga., Leslie Todd of Taylor, and Daniel J. Finley of Show Low; and three step-grandchildren. A memorial service is scheduled for Wednesday, July 12 at 5:30 p.m. at Valley View Baptist Church, Snowflake.
