Albert Starling died June 29, 2006.
Albert was born Feb. 12, 1917. He married Ruth June 24, 1954 in Los Angeles, California. He enlisted in the Navy in 1936 where he served in WWII. Albert was stationed on the USS Dunlap just outside Pearl Harbor and came in the day after the infamous attack. Albert retired from the U.S. Postal Service in 1972 after 30 years of service. At that time he and Ruth moved to Lakeside. Al will always be remembered as a loving, kind, and gentle husband and father.
Albert is survived by his wife, Ruth; two sons; three grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held Thursday, July 6 at 11 a.m at the Whiteriver Masonic Lodge No. 62 in Show Low.
