The White Mountain Independent, Show Low, Arizona ~ 07/04/2006 Bonnie Lee Jackson died June 2, 2006. She was born April 23, 1937 to Jessie Edith Swarnes and George Washington Schaffer. Bonnie danced from the age of four to 20. She married Iver Leroy Jackson (Roy) Oct. 5, 1956, they raised seven children: Leonard Leroy, John Randolph, Kathleen Elizabeth (Kandi), Mary Alice, Julia Ann, Ronda Suzanne, and Robert Joseph Jackson. Mrs. Jackson was known as a wonderful wife, mother and the best grandma in the world, who enjoyed spending time with her 30 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. She moved to Grants Pass, Oregon from Snowflake in 1978. Bonnie became a paramedic and an ambulance driver for AC Valley Ambulance, serving the Illinois Valley in Southwest Oregon. Mom said she was truly blessed with a wonderful life, full of love and happiness and a wonderful family, friends and a husband she loved dearly. Her family will always remember her as a mother with unconditional love. She had a wealth of knowledge available only by living a full life with many experiences. Her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren survive her. Her parents and husband preceded her in death. Southern Oregon Cremation Services handled arrangements.
