GARCIA, Maina

The White Mountain Independent, Show Low, Arizona ~ 07/04/2006 Maina Montoya Garcia, 75, St. Johns, died June 25, 2006 after a courageous struggle with ALS. She was born Jan. 31, 1931, in McNary, to Nicolas and Grace Montoya. Maina was a loving wife, devoted mother and grandmother, caring sister, and great friend who will be missed by many. She is survived by her husband of 42 years, Timmy Garcia Sr.; daughter, Grace (Erasmo) Lamas, Peoria; sons, Timmy (Angie) Garcia Jr., Grand Rapids, Mich. and Kenneth (Corinna) Garcia, Peoria; brother, Joe (Sophie) Montoya, Springerville; grandchildren, Jude and Alina Garcia, Erasmo and Sanea Lamas; and many nieces and nephews. Visitation and Rosary were Friday, June 30 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, St. Johns. A Funeral Mass was held at 9 a.m. Saturday, July 1 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, St. Johns. Burnham Mortuary, St. Johns, handled the arrangements.
