Steven Jay Rundell, 66 of Heber, died at home on July 1, 2006.
Steve was born to Warner and Sabina Rundell in San Francisco, Calif. Jan. 11, 1940. He was raised in San Francisco and attended school there. He graduated from Sacred Heart High School in 1958. Following high school, he started an apprenticeship in sheet metal and attended college. After college, Steve began his career working in sheet metal.
In 1968, he met Carmen Maria Gomez and they were engaged for 25 years, marrying Oct. 8, 1993. After his retirement in 1995, he and Carmen made their home in Heber in 2004.
Steven is survived by his wife, Carmen M. Rundell of Heber; brothers, Warner Rundell of Reno, Nev., and Stand Rundell of Antioch, Calif.; and a sister, Sabina Perez, of Salinas, Calif.
A memorial rosary will be held Sunday, July 9 at 7 p.m. at Our Lady of the Assumption Catholic Church in Overgaard. Memorial Mass will be held Monday, July 10 at 9:30 a.m., also at Our Lady of the Assumption.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to RTA Hospice and Palliative Care at 1789 W. Commerce Dr., Lakeside, AZ 85929.
