The White Mountain Independent, Show Low, Arizona ~ 07/14/2006 Vera June Hatley died April 7, 2006. She was born July 11, 1928 in Poteet, Texas. She was a former member of the Sheriff's Auxiliary Volunteers and VFW of Show Low and a talented artist and seamstress. Her family and friends dearly loved her. Her parents, Vera and Dewey Williamson and her beloved husband of 56 years, Harvey, preceded her in death. She is survived by her brother, Melvin Williamson (Estella) of Texas; daughter, Gail Segars (Bob) of Florida; son, Melvin Jay (Nancy) of Calif.; son, Harvey Daniel of Colorado; granddaughter, Jessica Nelson; and her devoted feline companion, Catley Hatley. Mrs. Hatley is also survived by her sisters-in-law, Betsy Ruth and Maxine Hatley of North Carolina; cherished cousins, nieces, nephews and long-time friends. A celebration of her life will be given at the RTA Hospice Center at 1789 W. Commerce in Lakeside. Wednesday, July 19 at 11 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the White Mountain Hospice Foundation or to the Humane Society.
