REYNOLDS, Ada Lorene

(Maiden Name: Langston)

The White Mountain Independent, Show Low, Arizona ~ 07/18/2006 Ada Lorene Reynolds died Saturday, July 15, 2006 at her Heber home, surrounded by her family. Lorene was born April 7, 1928 in Mt. Pleasant, Ark. to the late Robert J. and Bertie (Breeden) Langston. As a young woman she worked for Boeing Aircraft in Wichita, Kansas building airplane wings. She moved from Wichita in 1955. Lorene was a devoted homemaker to her family. She was married to W. Howard Reynolds Feb. 16, 1973 in Heber, by Bishop Keith Blair. After she was married, Lorene went to work as a postal clerk for the Heber Post Office, retiring in 1993. She then came out of retirement to work for the Overgaard Post Office and retired for good in 1998. She was a wonderful mother and loved her children a great deal. Then the grandchildren and great-grandchildren came along, and she spent every possible moment "spoiling rotten" each and every one of them. Everyone who knew and loved her will miss her "spunky" spirit. Lorene is survived by her husband of 33 years, Howard Reynolds of Heber; daughter Carol Sue Holden (Bill) of Heber; son, Virgil Dean Holowell (Becky) of St. Johns; step-daughter, Beverly Reynolds of Vancouver, Wash.; step-sons Mike Reynolds (Loree) of Overgaard, and Bruce Reynolds of Taylor; brothers Bobby Langston (Charlene) of Melbourne, Ark., and Doyne Langston of Sage, Ark.; sisters Montene Barksdale (Lynn) of Wenatchee, Wash., and Myrtle Williams of Sidney, Ark.; 15 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her stepdaughter, Nikki Ann Price in 1998. Family and friends are warmly invited for graveside services on Wednesday, July 19 at 10 a.m. at the Heber Cemetery in Heber. Owens Mortuary of Show Low handled the arrangements. For those who have special memories and would like to send private condolences or sign an online guest book, visit www.owensmortuary.com.
