FOTI, Kristin Mary

Kristin Mary Foti, PhD 6/16/1951 - 6/13/2010 Survived by her spouse, Tammy Y. Kastre, MD; sisters, Susan Engelken, MD (niece, Adrian) and Patsy Foti (nephew, Senna). When summarizing a life, words never measure up to the person, and so is the case with Kristin Foti, a force of nature whose flame was brighter and burned faster than most others. Throughout her 58 years, Kris excelled in many arenas. In 1984, her fierce commitment to and life-long love of horses led to an Olympic medal. After college, she successfully modeled in New York with Wilhelmina. Following a PhD in Neuro-Psychology in 1996, Kris led a successful, national business career while actively volunteering with the Nat'l Cancer Society for 14 years. For Tammy, Kris embodied everything: her best friend, constant companion, confidant, lover, soul mate, and more. Having found themselves early in life, they were perfectly matched for 23 years. Kris carved a niche into every one of our hearts with her passion and genuine capacity to love. The memories we take with us will live on, but Krissy, you will be missed.
