MAUHAR, Anthony

Anthony Mauhar Born November 20, 1919 in Granite City, IL; raised in St. Louis, MO and retired to Tucson, AZ in 1981. Died June 27, 2010 in Tucson. 

Survived by his wife, of 63 years, Lillian Skubiz Mauhar; children, Paula (Joe) McPeek, Thomas (Barb) Mauhar and Joanne (Rick) Doerr; brother-in-law, Raymond Skubiz; ten grandchildren and ten great- grandchildren. Preceded in death by his sisters, Vera Ruengert and Mary Brase. Formerly in the National Guard and Army 138th Infantry. He retired from Kroger Co. and was a member of the Moose Lodge #1964 and the American Legion. 

In lieu of flowers donations in Anthony's memory may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or a charity of your choice. Memorial Mass 11:00 a.m., Thursday, July 8, 2010 at Santa Catalina Catholic Church, 14380 N. Oracle Road. The family thanks the many people who helped and prayed for Anthony.
