Anna Lee "Ann" Morrison Born in Utica, Ohio on July 21, 1928, and died July 1, 2010 in Tucson.
Survived by her beloved children: daughters, Patt Morrison (James Blair) of Los Angeles, CA, Maureen (David) Rambo of Marana; and son, Chris (Karie Meyers), of Tucson; sister, Mary Jo Duffy of Tucson; and brother, Tom Blackstone of Centennial, CO; four step-grandchildren; and many nieces and a nephew; and a number of granddoggies. Also surviving is "daughter # 3" Tamara Lee Young of Flagstaff. She was preceded in death by her dear husband, Gene; and her parents, Harry and Mary Blackstone of Tucson. Anna Lee was the church secretary and a Sunday school teacher for the Utica Presbyterian Church in Utica, OH. She was also on the Board of the Girl Scouts Council of Licking County, OH. In the summer of 1963, the family moved from Ohio to Tucson where, in 1970, she became an employee of the Diocese of Tucson Catholic Cemeteries. She served as Executive Secretary to the Administrator for many of her over 30 years of employment. She served on the Board of Directors of the Tucson Electric Power Federal Credit Union (now the Pima Federal Credit Union), was member a member of the T.E.P's bowling league for several years and, with her husband, was involved in the formative years of Tucson's Bobby Sox Softball league. She loved to read, favoring history, archaeology and biographies. She was an ardent and loyal fan of her children's pom-pon, softball and volleyball teams and of the University of Arizona's basketball team. She also loved to watch professional football games.
A Memorial Service will be held Thursday, July 8, 2010, 11:30 a.m. at EVERGREEN MORTUARY, N. Oracle & W. Miracle Mile, with Rev. John Cheek of Northminster Presbyterian Church officiating.
