Owens Livingston Mortuary Show Low, Arizona Gary James Boyer died just as the sun was rising on Tuesday, July 2, 2010 at his home, in Show Low, Arizona with family at his side. he was 77 years old. Gary was born on October 5, 1932 in Decatur, Macon County, Illinois to the late Joseph Pasley and Helen Elizabeth (James) Boyer. As a young man, Gary served his country proudly, as he was a United States Army veteran of The Korean Conflict. Gary moved to Arizona 44 years ago and worked as an auto technician throughout his life. With his automotive skills, Gary developed a passion for cars. In fact, he owned over 100 cars through the years! For the past several years Gary has lived in Show Low. He loved nature, and thoroughly enjoyed hunting, fishing and camping in "his" beloved White Mountains. Gary was also an avid gun collector. He was a great family man and had a genuine love and concern for each of his children and grandchildren. His compassion even extended to his Great Dane dogs, as he loved them dearly, too. Gary is survived by his 3 children: Belinda (Mike) Moncur, Bret Boyer, Bart Boyer; 4 grandchildren: Gary, Brian, James, Sarah; his sister, Betty (Chuck) Yarborough; his former wife, Joan E. Boyer; his nephew, Kent Yarborough and his niece, Krista Yarborough. The visitation and public viewing for Gary will begin at 12 Noon on Wednesday, July 7, 2010 at Owens Livingston Mortuary - White Mountain Chapel, 320 N. 9th Street in Show Low, Arizona. His funeral service will begin, the same day, at 1:00 P.M. at Owens Livingston Mortuary. The concluding service and interment will follow at the Show Low Cemetery.
