MEYER, Betty

The White Mountain Independent, Show Low, Arizona ~ 07/25/2006 Betty Meyer, 83 of Show Low, died at RTA Hospice and Palliative Care in Lakeside July 18, 2006. She was born in Carroll, Iowa, and grew up in Audubon, Iowa. She moved to Phoenix in 1962. Betty worked in banks for her whole life. She was operations officer for many new independent banks in California and Arizona. She met Jon Meyer in 1980 and later married him in 1991. After opening and managing banks in California, the couple moved back to Arizona in 1995, settling in Show Low in 2001. Betty retired from banking in the early 90's. Betty loved her home; her home was her castle. Betty is survived by her husband, Jon Meyer; two children; four grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a daughter. There are no services scheduled. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to RTA Hospice and Palliative Care, 1789 W. Commerce Dr., Lakeside, AZ 85929.
