JARAMILLO, Aida


The White Mountain Independent, Show Low, Arizona ~ 08/29/2006 Aida Jaramillo, 45, St. Johns, died at her home Aug. 21, 2006. Aida spent most of her life in St. Johns. She was born in Magdalena, N.M. and her parents moved to St. Johns when she was only five. Aida loved music and art. She was an accomplished artist. She drew, painted and worked in ceramics and owned a thriving art business. Her survivors include her children, Simoane Leba, Echo Gillette and Jade Gillette; parents, Joe Jaramillo; and mother, Adela Anaya; brothers, Julian , Joey, Nick and Joe Jin Jaramillo and Ruben Anaya. She had one grandson, Armando Leyba. Preceding her in death were brother Anthony Jaramillo and her step-father Larry Anaya. A Rosary was recited for Aida Aug. 24 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church. A Funeral Mass followed Aug. 25, also at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church. Interment was in the St. Johns Catholic Cemetery. Burnham Mortuary, St. Johns, handled the arrangements.
