MCGEHEE, James C. (Sam)

The Wickenburg Sun, Wickenburg, AZ January 2, 1991, P. 2 James C. “Sam” McGehee, 72, of Bokchito, Okla. died Dec. 26 at his home in Bokchito, after suffering a heart attack. Mr. McGehee was born Dec. 27, 1917 in Phoenix. He had lived in Arizona intermittently for the past 60 years. He was well know in ranching circles, and had owned and operated ranches in Wickenburg and Salome before moving to Oklahoma. He married his wife, Deloris “Peggy” (Long) McGehee, who survives him in January 1948 in Wickenburg. In addition to his wife, he is survived by two sons, Dave and John McGehee, three daughters; Diane Robinson, Penny Kay Pope and Stacey McGehee; a sister, Dorothy Drago of Prescott; and five grandchildren. Graveside services were Monday at Genung Memorial park in Peeples Valley. Dr. Bert Follmar officiated.
