The Wickenburg Sun, Wickenburg, AZ January 16, 1991, p.2 Howard M. McKibben, 71, of Oregon died January 7 at Phoenix Veterans Hospital following an extended illness due to severe diabetic problems. Mr. McKibben was born March 2, 1919 in Cottage Grove, Oregon. He had lived in Aguila since 1980, for four years previously in Arizona. He was a mining consultant and also ran a mineral lab at Forepaugh west of Wickenburg for a number of years. He was a retired Air Force pilot. Survivors include his wife and companion of 30 years, Peggy; a son, Mick W. McKibben of Olympia, Washington; and five grandchildren. Visitation was January 10 at Brown’s Colonial Funeral Home in Phoenix with burial at Lincoln Memorial Park Cemetery in Portland, Oregon.
