The White Mountain Independent, Show Low, Arizona ~ 08/01/2006 Charlotte Bernice Wells Charlotte Wells, 91, died July 29, 2006 at RTA Hospice in Show Low. Charlotte was born May 10,1915 in Keystone, South Dakota to James and Gertrude Halley a predominant family in the Black Hills of South Dakota. She married Rufus Wells Dec. 24, 1941. Her husband Rufus Wells preceded Charlotte into heaven. She has lived in Las Cruces, N.M. since 1965 working as a Secretary at White Sands Missile Range. She was a member of St. Paul's United Methodist Church and Order of the Eastern Star. She volunteered with Retarded Children's Association. Cherishing her memories are daughters, Phyllis Wells of Las Cruces, Peggy Sedillo (husband Robert) of Redmond, Wa., Mary Pavey of Las Cruces, N.M., Rae Lynn Hansen (Kevin) of Show Low; and son Bob Wells (Lori) of Lompoc, Calif.; 10 grandchildren Racquel, Angela, Matthew, Austin, Timothy, Stephanie, Felisha, Julia, Twenty, Cheyenne and one great-grandchild, Brodie. Charlotte was a courageous and lovely lady that will be greatly missed by her family, and her devoted friends she always held close to her heart. Services will be held at 10 a.m. at Grahams Mortuary Las Cruces, N.M. Wednesday, Aug. 2 with burial at the Masonic Cemetery.
