The White Mountain Independent, Show Low, Arizona ~ 08/01/2006 Thomas Hinz, 30, of Shreveport, Louisiana, died Tuesday, July 25, 2006. Thomas was born Feb. 21, 1976, in Phoenix, the son of David and Joyce (Walker) Hinz. He was raised and attended school in Phoenix. He worked as a cement finisher and cook. He moved to Shreveport six months ago. Thomas enjoyed the outdoors and camping. He was of the Catholic faith. Thomas is survived by his wife, Kym Hinz of Alaska; daughter, Melony Hinz of Alaska; three sons, Thomas, Jake and Josiah Hinz of Alaska; parents, David Hinz and Joyce Hinz of Overgaard; two sisters, Kris Yturraspe of California and Geri Lynn Iovinelli of Phoenix; two brothers, David Hinz of Overgaard and Bill Barnes of Phoenix; maternal grandmother, Laredo Walker of Sun City. A memorial service will be held at 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, Aug. 1, at Our Lady of Assumption Catholic Church in Heber-Overgaard. Interment will follow in Heber Cemetery.
