Winston Churchill Scorse, 92, died July 28, 2006 in Flagstaff.
Winston was born Feb. 2, 1914, in Holbrook. He spent most of his life in Arizona. He served in the Army during World War II. He worked for the U.S. Post Office in Holbrook until retirement. Physically active until the end, Winston enjoyed assisting others with odd jobs, getting to know people, reading of all kinds, and listening to polka music.
Winston is survived by his wife, Eve S. Scorse of Tempe; stepdaughter, Linda Tromanhauser of Tempe; and former wife, Aleen H. Scorse of Holbrook; four sons Jerald of Woodruff, Ron of Snowflake, Arlen of Glendale and Gary of Holbrook; two daughters Denise Huish of Snowflake and Debra Chapman of Mesa. He is also survived by 16 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren.
Services will be held in Woodruff at 11 am Saturday, Aug. 5.
