Joseph S. Lambert, 85, a beloved husband, father and grandfather, went to be with our Lord Aug. 6, 2006.
Joseph was born in Phoenix Aug. 26, 1920. He served in the Navy during World War II and retired from Luke Air Force Base after over 30 years of service in 1976. He moved to his beloved White Mountains after retiring and has resided in Lakeside, except for wintering in Casa Grande, (where he grew up as a teenager) since that time.
Joseph is survived by his wife, Vee; one sister, Phyllis Machado of Calif.; four children, John Lambert of Bisbee, Judy Wenzlick of Chino Valley, Jacquelyn Yeager of Tucson and Joe Lambert of Chandler; four step-children, Douglas Dupuis of Ronan, Mont., Dennis Dupuis of Boise, Idaho, Lori Penrod and Marci Freshour of Flagstaff; 16 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren.
A memorial service to celebrate Joseph's life is planned for 1 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 12 at Owens Mortuary in Show Low. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to RTA Hospice, 1789 W. Commerce Dr., Lakeside, AZ 85929
