Helene B. Kester, 85 of Lakeside, died Monday, Aug. 14, 2006 in Snowflake. 
      
Kester, a homemaker, was born Jan. 18, 1921 in Napa, Calif. where she attended school. Following school she married and started a family.
      
Helene is survived by two daughters, Susan Graham of Lakeside, and Joan O'Dell of Bend, Ore.; three sons, Charles Bernacchi of Sacramento, Calif., Phillip Oakenshield of Montana, and David Kelsey of Costa Rica; 15 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
      
She was preceded in death by a son, Richard Kofoed, in 1986.
      
There are no services scheduled.
