NEWELL, Frances (Frank)

The White Mountain Independent, Show Low, Arizona ~ 09/01/2006 Frances "Frank" Newell of St. Johns, died Aug. 12, 2006 of a stroke at the Maricopa Medical Center in Phoenix. He was born Dec. 29, 1942 to Ernest and Beatrice (Kelley) Newell of Athal, Mass. Frank lived in St. Johns for several years. He worked for the IGA grocery store. Frank's only family member living is sister, Joan Selders and her ex-husband, Ralph in Griswald, Iowa. He was preceded in death by his father, mother, and three sisters, Elizabeth of Westfield, Mass., Madeline (Dewey) of Auburn, Wash.; and Dorothy of Auburn, Wash.; brother, Phillip Newell of Athal; nephew, Greg of Sawa; and two nieces. Frank's ashes will be in the Griswald, Iowa cemetery with his nephew.
