Guadalupe Lupe Najar, 84, of Winslow, died Aug. 27, 2006 at Winslow's Campus of Care.
Lupe was born and raised in Concho. It was there that she met and married her husband of 57 years. They moved to Ash Fork and worked on a ranch there. From there, they moved to Snowflake. For the last 15 years Lupe has lived in Winslow to be close to one of her daughters and grandchildren. Lupe was a woman of great faith in God's plan and was a prayer warrior. She very much enjoyed cooking, loved country music and dancing.
Lupe is survived by her nine children; Joe of St. Louis, Mo., Ramona of Blakely, Ga.; Larry of Easton, Wash.; Gene of Tacoma, Wash.; Rosie of Winslow; Lydia of Casa Grande; Ernie of Los Angeles, Calif.; Marie of Moore, Okla.; and Cynthia of Rosalyn, Wash.; 27 grandchildren and 40 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband who passed away in 1991.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, Sept. 2 at 11 a.m. at Owens Mortuary, Holbrook.
