The White Mountain Independent, Show Low, Arizona ~ 09/08/2006 Pansy Christina Gallegos Pansy Gallegos, 88 of Holbrook, peacefully died at home Sept. 1, 2006. Pansy was born and raised in St. Johns where she attended school. Following school she was a housekeeper and nanny to the Whiting family. She met, and later married Frank Gallegos June 12, 1936. They lived in McNary where she was a homemaker. They moved to Snowflake in 1944, then to Holbrook in 1949 where she would live the remainder of her life. Her husband preceded her in death in 1988. She was also preceded in death by her parents, three daughters and one grandson. Pansy is survived by four of her children; Lawrence (Lupe) Gallegos of Holbrook, Jancito "Frank" Gallegos of Holbrook, Leonard (Dianna) Gallegos of Show Low, and Christina (Don) Woods of Henderson, Nev.; sister, Aurrora Madrid of St. Johns; 15 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren and nine great-great grandchildren. There are no services scheduled. Owens Mortuary of Holbrook handled the arrangements.
