BEGAY, Ella Ann

The White Mountain Independent, Show Low, Arizona ~ 09/15/2006 Ella Ann Begay, 80 of Sunrise, died Sept. 6, 2006 in Albuquerque, N.M. She was born Aug. 10, 1936, she went to school in Intermountain and returned home to Sunrise. She was a homemaker and rancher. She loved taking care of and raising her sheep, rams, and horses. She was always willing to help others and never said "no" not even to her church. She loved her daughters and grandchildren and sisters. She will be greatly missed. She is survived by two daughters, Veronica Begay Beeman of Pinon and Tammy Begay of Sunrise; three grandsons, Tred and Chancey Begay of Ganado and Corey Beeman of Pinon; one granddaughter, Madison Beeman of Pinon; three sisters, Louise Begay of Holbrook, Mary Begay of Holbrook, and Dorothy Jim of Ganado. She is preceded in death by her parents, Edna Begay and John X. Nez; two sisters, Lois Spencer and Jeanette Keams, and one brother, Dan Harry Begay. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, Sept. 13 at 10 a.m. at Faith Assembly of God Church in Holbrook. Owens Mortuary of Holbrook handled the arrangements.
