MAGGARD, Curtis

Today's News-Herald, Lake Havasu City, Arizona Published Monday, January 26, 2009 Curtis Maggard, 55, passed away peacefully at his home Thursday, Jan. 22, 2009, in Lake Havasu City. He entered this world July 19, 1953, to father, Curtis Maggard and mother, Alice Maggard of Inglewood, Calif. Curt was a Vietnam Veteran of the US Army, a loyal and dedicated husband and a loving, caring father and grandfather. Curt truly was a great man. This is a man who could build anything with those hands of his. He loved to rebuild flat bottom boats and off road Baja bugs from the ground up and the finished products were nothing short of masterpieces. He enjoyed working in the yard, gardening and landscaping. He loved warm summer nights relaxing on his patio with his wife and a cold Corona, tinkering in the garage with his son, playing with his grandkids and making everyone laugh with all of his silly jokes. Curt was a hilarious, hardworking, fun loving, and honest man who enjoyed life and deeply appreciated memories made with his family. His presence here on Earth will be missed but his memory, spirit and love shall remain forever in our hearts. Curtis is survived by his wife of 21 years, Debbie Maggard, of Lake Havasu City; son, Brent Maggard, of Newport Beach, Calif.; daughters, Brandi Gallo and Brooke Maggard, both of Lake Havasu City; grandchildren, Jayson Gallo, Paige Gallo and Given Rugh; mother, Alice Maggard; two sisters, Shannon Roberts and Dolly Byrne; nephews, Chad and Danny and nieces, Christy and Coleen.
