Casa Grande (AZ) Dispatch Friday, November 13, 1931, p 7 Death came to the Olin McCleery home in North Coolidge last Friday when Mrs. McCleery who had been ill for several days, died only a few hours after her illness had been pronounced as diptheria. Besides the husband, she leaves four children: Allen 10, Alice 7, Neil 5, and Dianna May six months. She is also survived by her father, three sisters and four brothers all of whom reside in the state of Washington except one brother, Alfred Winnings who lives in Coolidge. Mr. and Mrs. W.D. McCleery of Kirkland, Arizona, parents of Mr McCleery arrived for the funeral and will remain with the family in Coolidge for the present. An open-air funeral was held at the Florence cemetery conducted by Rev Walter Hoffman to the Florence Christian church, of which the deceased was a member. There was many beautiful floral pieces sent by local organizations and individuals. The pall bearers were: R.B. Elsberry, Asa Gardner, Haywood Short, Ben Moran, N.W. McKennie and L.A. Condit. The McCleery family moved to Coolidge from Florence about a year ago that Mr. McCleery might be closer to his work. They endeared themselves to a large circle of friends who extend every sympathy in this sad bereavement. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~`` Wickenburg (AZ) Graphic Friday, November 27, 1931, p 4 c 4 The many friends of Mrs. Esther McCleary were deeply grieved and shocked to learn of her untimely death. She died very suddenly of diptheria at her home in Florence, Ariz. Besides her husband, she left four little children, the youngest a babe of five months. They lived here several years, where Mr. McCleary was employed in the Indian Irrigation service, later being transferred to Florence, Ariz. They have many friends here who deeply sympathize with him in his terrible loss.
