OVERTON-MERSON, Carol

The Wickenburg Sun, Wickenburg, AZ March 6, 1991, p.2 Carol Overton Merson, 79, of South Haven, Michigan died February 26 in Wickenburg Community Hospital. Mrs. Merson was born Dec. 20, 1911 in Sleepy Eye, Minn. She had been a winter resident of Wickenburg since 1950. She was preceded in death by her first husband of 47 years, Russel Overton; and a daughter, Kathryn Ann Mezak. Mrs. Merson was member of St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church of Wickenburg ; and Las Damas. She was a graduate of Northwest University in Evanston, Ilinois. Survivors include her husband, Richard Merson, of South Haven; two sons, Frank Overton of South Haven and Jerome Overton of New York City; a stepson, Edward Merson of McLean , Virginia; a son-in-law, Daniel Mezak of South Haven; and six grandchildren. Services were conducted in South Haven, with burial in Lake View Cemetery.
