Glen C. Werner, 73, born March 2, 1937, in Menoken, N.D., passed away June 21, 2010, at St. Alexius Hospital in Bismarck, N.D. after a brave fight against cancer.
Glen was preceded in death by his parents, Anton and Barbara (Mosset) Werner; sister, Cecila; and brother, Anthony (Tony) Werner.
Glen is survived by his wife, Carol Werner; his children, Chandra Werner, of Henderson, Ky., Chuck (Laurie) Werner, Kathy (Justin) Andrews, both of Utah, Nadina (Lon) Weatherson, of Lake Havasu City, and Matthew (Kathi) Werner, of Aurora, Colo.; also 10 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. Glen is also survived by his seven sisters and brothers in law; Betty (Tom) Fuhrman, Louella (Al) Holzer, Mary (Dick) Cieslak, Diane (Eddie) Dockter, Deloris (Arville) Schmitcke, Lundina (Bennie) Haux, all from Bismarck, N.D., and Irene (Ken) Adolf, from West Valley City, Utah. Also surviving Glen is his Aunt Irene Mosset, of Bismarck; and his beloved aunt Perry Mosset, of Linton, N.D. Surviving sisters and brothers-in-law are Dottie and Dick Kuck, Donna and Ed Tackett, Connie and Kim Couch, and Gene and Lois Turner.
Glen and Carol lived in Ashford, Ariz., six months of the year and came to their home on the Missouri River west of Linton, N.D., in the summer. Glen loved being able to fish and visit his sisters all summer. He gave away most of his fish to his many relatives and friends. Glen was a kind and generous man. He always put his family first. He will be dearly missed by many.
Glen wanted to donate his body to science. He will be cremated with memorial services at a later date.
