PADILLA, Porfirio C.

The White Mountain Independent, Show Low, Arizona ~ 09/29/2006 Porfirio C. Padilla, 76, a lifelong resident of Concho, died Sept. 24, 2006 at the Arizona Heart Hospital in Phoenix. He was born May 4, 1930 in Winslow. Porfirio served in the United States Army. He was a Korean War veteran. He was an expert pool player, loved playing his guitar and had a passion for baseball. The Diamondbacks were his favorite team. He liked people, loved to His survivors include brothers, Gilbert, Guillermo and Alfred Padilla and one sister, Concie Candelaria, 13 grandchildren and one great-grandson. His wife, Cinda Padilla preceded him in death. A Rosary was recited Wednesday night at the San Rafael Catholic Church in Concho. Funeral Mass was Thursday, Sept. 28, 2006. Father John Sauter officiated. Burnham Mortuary, St. Johns handled the arrangements.
