The White Mountain Independent, Show Low, Arizona ~ 10/03/2006 Alta Marie Cullum Alta Cullum, 78, of Show Low died Sept. 28, 2006. She was born in Wichita Falls, Texas to Bryant Allbriton and Zoe Smith. She grew up and attended school there. Following school, she moved to Phoenix, married and started a family. In 1959, she met and later married Everett Cullum in 1960. They stayed in Phoenix until 1983, when they moved to Sun Lakes. In 1993, they moved to Overgaard. Alta loved to read and play Scrabble. Alta is survived by her husband, Everett Cullum; sons Neil Ashton of Peoria and Mark Ashton of Queen Creek; a sister, Zeona Gilbrath; 13 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. The interment will be in the National Memorial Cemetery on Cave Creek Road. A graveside service will be at the cemetery at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 3.
