STRAHM, Royden (Bud)

The White Mountain Independent, Show Low, Arizona ~ 10/13/2006 Royden "Bud" Strahm, 87 of Clay Springs, died Oct. 8, 2006. Bud was born and raised in Sequim, Wash. Following school he worked in construction and also was a cowboy in the Pro-Rodeo circuit. In 1980 he met and later married Viola Jean Fox. Following their marriage they made their home in Clay Springs and Bud continued his construction and rodeo work. He retired from Philip Richie Construction in 1984, but continued his rodeo work until 2005. Bud loved horses and they loved him. Bud is survived by his wife, Joan Strahm; two sons, Wyatt Strahm of Kooska, Idaho, and Wade Strahm of Flagstaff; daughter, Rochelle of Louisiana; four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Bud was preceded in death by his parents, one sister, one brother, and one grandchild. Memorial contributions may be directed to the Clay Springs Fire Department, P.O. Box 1256, Pinedale, AZ 85934.
