PISHNEY, John C.

John C. Pishney, born on November 21, 1922, passed away in Tucson after a long illness on June 29, 2010. He is survived by Margery, his loving wife of 68 years; two daughters, Sandee (Lew) Corbett and Starla (Dan); three grandchildren, Matthew Motzkin and Megan and Kevin Boyd; as well as two great-grandchildren, Jack and Nick Motzkin. He is preceded in death by his granddaughter, Julie Motzkin. John was born in Akron, Ohio where he attended Akron University. He served in the United States Air Force for 28 years, which brought him to Tucson in 1963. After retiring from the Air Force in 1971 he joined Pima Community College as a purchasing agent and retired from there in 1985. John was buried at Holy Hope Cemetery on Tuesday, July 6, 2010.
