Al Sargent Al passed away suddenly, July 4, 2010 in Tucson. He was born in Hammond, Indiana on August 31, 1946, but was a lifelong Tucson resident.
He graduated from Pueblo High School in 1965. Al Sargent was a hero to all that knew him. He was a Marine Corp veteran and spent a career in Law Enforcement. Al retired from Pima County Sheriff's Department in 1992. He served as a Patrol Officer, including several years on Mt. Lemon, a K-9 Officer, and Detective. After retirement he worked for Wells Fargo Bank as a Fraud Investigator. For the last ten years Al owned and operated the Tucson Electric Park (TEP) Gem and Mineral Show.
Al is survived by his son, Doug; grandchildren, Sabrina, Vanessa and Noah; brothers, Gene and Dan, and several nieces and nephews. If Al could have chosen a day to pass, it would have been the 4th of July, he was a true patriot. Al touched many people and he will be missed dearly. Dad - You are my hero and I will miss you very much.
Services will be held Saturday, July 10, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. at South Lawn Cemetery, 5401 S. Park Avenue, Tucson, Arizona 85706. There will be a Viewing on Friday, July 9, 2010 at FUNERARIA DEL ANGEL SOUTH LAWN from 5:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m.
